Founder & President
Jae Henderson is no stranger to the written word and she loves motivating others! As President of Put It In Writing Professional Writing Service & PR she spearheads the PR and social media for several entities that include prominent African American businesses the Southern Heritage Classic, Champion’s Pharmacy & Herb Store and Ewing Moving & Storage, Inc.
She has used her stellar way with words to compose attention-grabbing content for entertainers such as MC Lyte, Melanie Fiona, DJ Quik, T-Pain, Ke Ke Wyatt, Mr. Del, Shemar Moore, Elise Neal, and E-40. Jae is also an accomplished author and has currently published eight books which include her Someday trilogy, Things Every Good Woman Should Know I and II, Husband Wanted and Where Do We Go From Here I and II and From Here to There, which she co-authored with Mario D. King. She is the founder of The Little Writers workshop where she uses her expertise to instruct youth ages 7 - 12 on the fundamentals of crafting a good story.
In 2017, Jae received the distinct honor of writing an article for the Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis Legends Award recipient Pat Morgan, who has spent her career championing the rights of the homeless. The framed article was featured in a traveling exhibit within the state of Tennessee. Her other awards include the Tri-State Defender Newspaper’s Women of Excellence Award, Order of the Easter Star Sister Rock Award, the Loretta McNary Show Kindle Award, the United Way Unsung Hero Award, and the March of Dimes A.I.R. Awards for Best Public Affairs Program and Best Public Announcement. Jae has also been featured in U.S. Today, The Undefeated, The Commercial Appeal, The Memphis Business Journal, The New Tri-State Defender and various other publications.
Jae is also a former radio personality. As the Director of Community Affairs for Clear Channel Radio (now iHeart Media), she organized community events and produced/co-hosted the youth and young adult talk show On Point. She even served as a contributing writer for the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show.
Jae is a Memphis native and a proud graduate of Treadwell High School and The University of Memphis where she obtained a B.A. in Communications and an M.A. in English with emphasis in professional and technical writing. She enjoys educating others and taught oral communications at her alma mater for a few semesters. Jae no longer teaches college but continues to spread her wisdom through speaking engagements and social media. Having a big sale, on-site celebrity, or other event?
